Our One 7 staff ministers to several families from the following people groups: Vietnamese Montagnard, Burmese of Myanmar, and Somali Bantu. Bellow is a video that shows the type of life some of these children come from. Most of the kids we work with have been persecuted, had loved ones killed or inprisoned, while living in extreme poverty. Although this video doesn’t show the pain and suffering they experience, it will help to show the type of life they live in some of the refugee camps.
A refugee is a person who flees to a foreign country or power to escape danger, persecution or death. Most arrive in Charlotte with only the clothes on their backs. It has been an awesome privilege to be able to work with the refugee families that are a part of one7. There has never been a greater need or a more dire time to serve than now. At One7 we love these families like we love our own. We encourage anyone that is interested to come and meet these amazing people and see just how wonderful they are.
